"Blue Ocean" Community Sails
As a non-profit organization, the Bob Koll Sailing Foundation is dedicated to
bringing sailing and sea exploration education to those who would not
otherwise have access to this experience, particularly under-privileged
Southern California youth. In this mission, we regularly bring youth and other
needy Orange County based non-profit organizations out aboard “Blacksilver”,
our program sailing vessel on our "Blue Ocean" Community Sails to
experience marine life, the sea, learn about sailing and build life skills. Our
unique Community Sails program is based around university educators,
college students, and university alumni, educated and skilled in sailing, who
seek to help youth and other deserving community groups succeed and build
life skills.
Our "Blue Ocean" Community Sails can be arranged by calling us. We
welcome youth and other community non-profit groups interested in working
with us.
If you would like to organize a sail on Blacksilver for your non-profit group,
please email us at info@BobKollSailing.org. Note that this program would not
be possible without our loyal donors who believe in our program. If you are
interested in donating to our cause, please contact Jane Hartley at:
jthartley@yahoo.com or visit our donate page for more information.

Learn to Crew Blacksilver
Our volunteers will learn how to crew Blacksilver on relaxing day sails, and
when the wind hits the fan to be ready for when youth are aboard. The
emphasis will be on learning safety procedures. But if you enjoy learning, you
will have a blast! Link to our Learn to Crew Blacksilver program
